By: The Male Cheerleader Nasa released the above imagine of global aerosols in the beautiful format along with this explanation.

[via NASA] By: The Male Cheerleader We live on a world covered in water yet water supplies are reaching higher stress levels as populations around most of the world grow. The above map shows where these locations are, so feel free to read on and learn more.
By: The Male Cheerleader I am happy to repost this from Science Friday Owen Kelley, a research scientist at NASA Goddard, works with data from theTRMM satellite to image the insides of storms. TRMM looked into the eye of Sandy the day before it made landfall and saw something surprising. Satellites also took snapshots of Sandy. J. Marshall Shepherd, president-elect of the American Meteorological Society and the director of the Atmospheric Sciences Program at the University of Georgia, explains some of Sandy's unusual features.
By: The Male Cheerleader Fox News once again wants to use a natural disaster as a way to voice its opinion that man made climate change is just made up. While no singular weather event is proof of anthropogenic climate change, it is also rediclous for Fox News to post a head line stating, "Scientist dispute politicians' claims that global warming grew sandy".
By: The Male Cheerleader With much of Europe being fairly far up in the hemisphere they will experience significant changes due to climate change. The European Environment Agency realized this and has created a series of interactive maps, so read past the break to learn more about the maps.
By: The Male Cheerleader I hate to simply sum up an article about scientific research because this can lead to misleading, but I personally don't have time to read the research article. NBCNews.com has an article today labelled, "Climate-changing methane 'rapidly destabilizing' off East Coast, study finds". So read past the break to see what this really means.
By: The Male Cheerleader Did you know the 2012 presidential election is the first one since 1988 that neither candidate mentioned "climate change" in a debate. Tonight airs the an episode of Frontline by PBS called "Climate of Doubt", so if you are looking for looking to get your fix of science and well...views from the other side...watch it live or online.
Check your local listings and please post in the comments what you thought! [via PBS] By: The Male Cheerleader From time to time we will show some of our original work from our days in college or from just projects we are working on now for fun. The above image is from a project I worked on for my senior thesis. I was trying to demonstrate the correlation of vineyard location with average temperature, and average precipitation. I am not so sure I was very successful when I look back on it now. What do you think?
